And it was totally worth it because this is seriously going to be an awesome place to visit. It will essentially be one of the most sustainable and environmentally responsible 5-star resorts in the world, not to mention, one of the most beautiful places to stay at Lake Tahoe. Oh, and did I mention that it is the first step in transitioning an aging casino-driven community into a recreational mecca that, over time, will completely transform the nature of the Lake Tahoe Basin? But, you know, it's no big deal. :)
Of course, this is just the design. It still needs to go through approvals from two different regulatory bodies, construction drawings need to be developed, and then it all needs to get built. So while someday this will be an amazing place to stay, it's still a good 5-6 years away from actually existing (which is probably how long it will take me to save up enough to spend one night there anyway). But still, it was fun to work on it, and maybe some day I'll actually get to walk around it's grounds.
