I just want to say how proud I am of my boys. They fought really hard at the end of the season to position themselves among the elite teams in the NBA. Come playoff time, they then were faced with playing one of the most talented teams in the league. A team that happened to tie for the best home record in the Western Conference. And to top it all off, they had to do so with two of their starting players injured. Everyone counted them out and predicted Denver cruising to an easy victory.
Never count out a team lead by Jerry Sloan and Deron Williams
The Jazz stole a game in Denver and went on to win the series last night: four games to two. Wow. What a great team. What a great coach! This team has proven time and time again that it takes much more than talent to win in the NBA. You have to know how to play as a team. That's what Utah does best, and that's why they are one of the best teams in the NBA. They may not be as flashy as some other teams. They may not be as entertaining to watch. But they play the game right. And that's why I will always be a fan. Through and through.
